Virus and spyware removal - this is one of the more common services I perform. If the infestation is mild to moderate then I can often clean it on the spot. For severely affected systems it is better that I attempt a repair at my place. Sometimes this requires a reformat.

Backups - which brings me to another important service--backups! I can perform backups for a flat fee and restore them to your system if necessary.

Memory. This is usually a very affordable and worthwhile upgrade. Whether you want to make your computer run a little or a lot faster, this is usually a good place to start. You ought to have a bare-minimum of 512MB of RAM, but 1GB or higher is much better if you are running the newest version of Windows. To add memory, you need to know what kind your system takes. You can do a search here, using Crucial's Memory Advisor Tool.

Drives (hard drive, CD, CD-RW, or DVD) - Maybe you'd like a backup hard drive to store all your family's photos, or a CD burner to make your own CDs. I can also install a DVD drive that will allow you to watch DVD movies on your computer and read data stored on DVDs. Prices vary depending on what size you'd like, and whether you'd like internal or external.

Modems and Network cards for broadband, or connecting to other computers in your house (or both!).

Basic maintenance and security checks - making sure stuff isn't clogging up the works and you have measures in place to avoid viruses and other security problems.

Tutoring - I can explain just about anything you might want to know, and not in geek-speak, either.

New system setups - I can set everything up from scratch...connect all your peripherals (monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc.), remove trial software you probably don't want, install a few programs you probably DO want, transfer your old data, and provide a 20 - 30 minute consultation on your new digital friend.
