You can drop your system off to me or I can come to you; I mostly work within SLO and the Five Cities area. I will give you a preliminary estimate, but that price may change according to problems found and I will contact you in that case. If I can't fix what's wrong, I usually only ask for a gas contribution :)

Reformats/operating system reinstalls are usually a flat rate of $90. This includes all Windows updates and necessary drivers.

Virus/spyware cleanup - rates for this vary depending on how much invasion we are looking at, but usually less than $100.

Memory. This is usually a very affordable and worthwhile upgrade. Whether you want to make your computer run a little or a lot faster, this is usually a good place to start. You ought to have a bare-minimum of 512MB of RAM, but 1GB or higher is much better if you are running the newest version of Windows. To add memory, you need to know what kind your system takes. You can do a search here, using Crucial's Memory Advisor Tool.

Drives (hard drive, CD, CD-RW, or DVD) - Maybe you'd like a backup hard drive to store all your family's photos, or a CD burner to make your own CDs. I can also install a DVD drive that will allow you to watch DVD movies on your computer and read data stored on DVDs. Prices vary depending on what size you'd like, and whether you'd like internal or external.

Modems and Network cards for broadband, or connecting to other computers in your house (or both!). Wireless setup runs about $45.

Software Installation

Minimum fee: $20. I can install your choice of software, including but not limited to -

• Windows XP - just give me your copy of XP and I can install it. (Note: this process takes several hours and is subject to my reformat fee of $90).
• Antivirus protection
• Spyware scanner
• Word processors
• Browsers/email setup
